Fry Solid at the Plate With Four Hits, Greenville Greenwave JV Lose to Stebbins

Four hits from Nathan Fry weren’t enough as Greenville Greenwave JV fell to Stebbins 13-9 on Wednesday. Fry singled in the first, tripled in the third, singled in the fifth, and doubled in the seventh.
Greenville Greenwave JV lost despite out-hitting Stebbins 16 to 14.
Greenville Greenwave JV captured the lead in the second inning when Alex Subler doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.
After Stebbins scored four runs in the top of the seventh, Greenville Greenwave JV answered with four of their own. Stebbins scored when Womack singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run. Greenville Greenwave JV then answered when Watkins doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run and Fry doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.
Stebbins took the lead for good with six runs in the third inning. In the third Edens singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, Holt singled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs, Womack singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run, and Tackett singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Holt led things off on the rubber for Stebbins. He went seven innings, allowing nine runs on 16 hits and striking out seven.
Connor Mills was on the mound for Greenville Greenwave JV. He surrendered nine runs on ten hits over three and a third innings, striking out three. Watkins threw three and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Greenville Greenwave JV collected 16 hits on the day. Fry, Subler, Brayden Skinner, and Hadyn Sharp all managed multiple hits for Greenville Greenwave JV. Fry led Greenville Greenwave JV with four hits in four at bats. Greenville Greenwave JV tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Cameron Fletcher led the way with three.
Stebbins totaled 14 hits. Tackett, Stanfield, Womack, and Holt all had multiple hits for Stebbins. Tackett went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Stebbins in hits. Roy led Stebbins with three stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with ten stolen bases.
